Pujya Bhaishri visits Ahmedabad, Sanskruti parivar sends immediate relief to the quake affected areas

The devastating earthquake that rocked Gujarat on 26th January 2001at 8:50 a.m. has left a trail of destruction and heart braking scenes. Param Pujya Bhaishri rushed immediately and reached Ahemdabad by 7:30 p.m. on the very same day where he visited various hospitals along with members of the Sanskruti parivar. Later he also visited different quake affected sites in the city and instantly made arrangements for distribution of medicines, food packets, blankets, cloth for funerals, etc. A camp for refugees has also been set up to provide food and shelter at night.

Vaishvik Sanskruti Parivar has also rushed blankets, medicines, clothes, water packets, etc. by trucks to Bhuj, Rapar and Bachau, the three worst affected towns in Gujarat.

From 11th Feb. 2001 to 18th Feb. 2001, Srimad Bhagwat Katha Gyan Yagna will be held in Ahemdabad. Pujya Bhaishri will occupy the Vyaspeeth of this katha and the proceeds collected from it will be utilised for providing relief to the quake affected victims.

Pujya Bhaishri will be visiting Prayag Kumbh between 29th Jan. 2001 to 8th Feb. 2001 where too he will occupy the Vyaspeeth of Shrimad Bhagwat saptah organised for the emancipation of the people dead in this quake.

A minor crack has been detected in the Gaushala (cow shed) of Sandipani Vidyaniketan at Porbandar. Fortunately no other damage has been reported.
