Pujya Bhaishri narrates Shrimad Bhagavat Katha as he sings old Gujarati Bhajans at Bhatel

A divine Shrimad Bhagavat Katha was organised from 20th April to 27th April at Bhatel, a small village situated near Dwarka City, by Shri Pratapbhai Jadeja and the entire Rajput community.

The Shobha Yatra commenced from the temple of Shri Dhingeshwar Mahadev on the first day of the Katha. People from 20 villages participated in the Shobha Yatra which reached the Katha pavilion chanting the name of Shri Hari. At the Katha venue, it was accorded a very warm welcome. Many saints graced this Katha with their presence and the Katha was telecast live on Sanskar channel.

After the kindling of the auspicious lamp and welcome speech, Pujya Bhaishri began narrating the Katha. Pujya Bhaishri said that the village of Bhatel is fortunate that the Ganga of Katha has come flowing here. The Hindu month of Chaitra is renowned for organising Bhagavat kathas in all cities and villages.

“This is the season of Katha and mangoes,” said Pujya Bhaishri light-heartedly. “The taste of lord Krishna’s tales and mango juice are both wonderful. One soothes the stomach while the other soothes the mind and the intellect”.

Pujya Bhaishri also commented on many social issues during the course of the Katha. He remembered and sang the old bhajans and said that our Tradition in Gujarat is that of bhajan and food.

The occasion of Shri Krishna janma was celebrated with great enthusiasm.

The Katha ended with great joy and bliss in the hearts of the listeners.
