Sandipani Vidyaniketan is a leading educational institution in Gujarat, India, providing Vedic education in Sanskrit employing an ancient Vedic teaching style while simultaneously incorporating current, modern-day subjects in modern facilities. Education at Sandipani is based on a system of education of Vedic culture taught by ancient Rishis, known as tapovan.

Sandipani Vidyaniketan was established to spread Indian heritage and culture, create leaders and rekindle humanity for the betterment of society as well as a prosperous future. It strives to achieve the highest standards of learning in Sanskrit and for establishing cultural and humanitarian values.

Since its inception in 1992, when Sandipani began providing Vedic education in Sanskrit as a Rishikul, its activities and services have greatly expanded to teaching modern day subjects with a foundation of cultural values.

“Rishi Sandipani was the guru of both Shri Krishna and Shri Sudama (Shri Sudama was from Porbandar). We chose the name Sandipani for the Vidyaniketan as we wished our students to become like Sudama, for whom knowledge is supreme wealth, who possess a pure heart and good character,” Pujya Bhaishri.

Sandipani Vidyaniketan was founded by Pujya Bhaishri with a cause closest to his heart: spreading knowledge of the Vedic scriptures and upholding the cultural heritage of India. It is run by Shri Bharatiya Sanskruti Samvardhak Trust on donations.

Sandipani Vidyaniketan currently contains two sections:

  • Rishikul imparting Vedic education in Sanskrit, and
  • Gurukul imparting education in English and Gujarati mediums.

With such a system of education, Sandipani is able to produce persons of great calibre, leaders in society with the capacity to impart knowledge, maintain and inculcate our great culture and heritage in society.

Their aim in life will be to spread the message of Sanatan Dharma and serve humanity at large.  Totally devoted to the upbringing of the society, there is a life of commitment and total dedication.

Vision and Motto of Sandipani

Pujya Bhaishri’s vision is to produce proficient scholars in Sanskrit who have excellent knowledge of the Vedas to become leaders with ideals of divine love and devotion and to be passionate about selfless service to society and country.

The motto of Sandipani Vidyaniketan is:

Gyānārth Pravesh, Sevārtha Prasthān”

One enters here with thirst for knowledge, gains knowledge on how to live with divine love and earn a living and depart for service to society, the country and the world. Truth will be ones fast of life; one will share knowledge, not sell it; one will live not just with the self in focus but with all in focus.

Our education system today focuses solely on earning a living. Very little time is given in our education system to learning how to live life. Pujya Bhaishri’s aim is to provide a balance between these two in the education system at Sandipani Vidyaniketan.

Beautifully entwining the wisdom of the traditional past with the energy of the modern present, Pujya Bhaishri’s mission is a much needed progressive philosophy that India requires today.
