Sojat Welcomes Pujya Bhaishri with Great Excitement and Listen to the Shrimad Bhagavat Katha with Dedication
Shri Phoolnarayan Ashram and Shrimali Bhramin Society jointly organised a delightful Shrimad Bhagavat Katha by Pujya Bhaishri in Sojat, Rajasthan, from 19th January to 26th January 2014.
Sojat, famous for its Henna, was very excited on the arrival of Pujya Bhaishri. Volunteers from all the societies in Sojat had proactively contributed their services to make this katha a huge success. The president of this project, Shri Sagarbhai, and his colleagues, Shri Mukeshbhai, Shri Rajubhai and others greatly dedicated their efforts in organising this katha.
On the first day, for the Shobha Yatra, the streets of the entire town was decorated with beautiful rangolis and kindled with lamps. The Shobha Yatra took place amidst singing and chanting of Shri Hari naam by many saints and devotees until the katha venue.
At the beginning of the katha, Pujya Bhaishri commented that Sojat is famous for its henna. The deep and alluring colour the henna imparts is the colour of devotion for Lord Krishna.
Pujya Bhaishri advised on the current issues facing the society saying, “Do not form a social arrangement which creates a rift between the rich and poor and the poor begin to hate the rich. Equality must be established in the society so that the basic needs of every person are fulfilled”.
“This is all possible via katha,” he continued to say. “Katha teaches us the lessons of life through which we can proceed in a new and meaningful direction and condition.”
Pujya Bhaishri also said that Katha is not just ordinary. It is the experience of God’s divine devotees and their expression of this experience. Our character is built from God’s devotion and God’s devotion, in turn, is gained by listening to katha.
Shri Krishna janma, Shri Goverdhan Pooja and Shri Rukmini vivah were celebrated with great joy. The katha was telecast live on Sanskar channel. All in all, the katha at Sojat was indeed delightful, blissful and a huge success.
