Pujya Bhaishri inspires listeners, teachers and the people of Bhuj with his messages

Akhil Kutchi Rajgor Mahasabha organised Bhagavat katha at Bhuj, Kutch from 29 January to 3 February 2015. A grand Shobha Yatra traversed the streets of Bhuj town amidst chants of Shri Hari kirtan.

The family of cabinet minister, Tarachandbhai Chheda (the chief host of this katha), kindled the auspicious lamp to mark the commencement of the katha. This katha was relayed live by Bhaktisagar channel.

During the katha, Pujya Bhaishri made insightful comments on the current times. He asked, “Why is it that we are so backwards despite having everything in our country? This is because, although we have good laws, we do not abide by those laws. In other countries people give utmost importance to the implementation of laws”. Pujya Bhaishri advised that we should also be vigilant, strictly abide by the laws and ensure that people follow suit. It is wrong to believe that we can attain our well-being merely by listening to the Bhagavat katha attentively. We also have to think about all matters in the society and work for the society.

Further ahead in the katha, referring to families, Pujya Bhaishri said that it is our culture and great values to live together as close families. Our scriptures have provided our parents the same status as God. Remember, everyone gets old. You will reap what you sow. Respect and love your parents selflessly.

Pujya Bhaishri visited various places during the days of katha including Kutchh University and inspected its modern lab. He addressed the students and teachers there saying, “The role of teachers is very important to build a nation. In the current times, mould the minds of students to be inquisitive rather than spoon feed them with answers. Bharat (India) can be a master of all nations through great teachers”.

On the 3rd day of katha, Pujya Bhaishri organised a cleanliness drive as part of the Clean India Campaign. Shri Tarachandbhai Chheda and Nimaben Acharya, MLA, joined this cleanliness drive. Pujya Bhaishri said that just as it is our duty to keep our home and courtyard clean, similarly it is our duty to also keep our town clean. Lord Krishna is very fond of cleanliness. It was for the same reason that he picked up the leaf-plates that the guests used to eat at the end of the Ashwamedh Yagya held by the Pandavas in Mahabharat.

Pujya Bhaishri was interviewed during this katha by the Akila News on topics including politics and Shrimad Bhagavat. He was asked, “What message does Shrimad Bhagavat give to the current youth?” Pujya Bhaishri replied, “In the current age, every field, be it education, own business, employment etc. is filled with stress due to so much competition. At such a time, Shrimad Bhagavat is a great guide. Families are separating due to the influence of TV series. At this time, Shrimad Bhagavat leads to the welfare of families.”
