Pujya Bhaishri in Kampala, Uganda answers: What is God?
On day 1, a memorable Shobha Yatra left the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir joined by dances from the Mer community, the exhibition of the twenty four incarnations of Lord Vishnu and Pujya Bhaishri on a well- decorated chariot.
Pujya Bhaishri explained why Lord Ganesh and Shri Hanumanji reside in Sanatan Mandir. He said that Ganeshji symbolises intellect and Hanumanji symbolises strength. One who wants to progress on the spiritual path requires both intellect and strength.
Who is a true believer and atheist? Not just one who does not go to a temple or worship God. A true atheist according to our scriptures is one who does not accept what our Vedas tell as.
Pujya Bhaishri raised the question, “What is God?”
He answered that God is what we desire all the time: infinite happiness. God is continuous peace, bliss and happiness.
Pujya Bhaishri said that grow but do not separate. If the world wants to progress in unity, they will need to implement our Rishi’s thoughts. Arguing and insulting one who is a non- vegetarian is our narrow- mindedness. We must be broad minded, tells us the Rishi of Bharat. The whole world is one family and we are part of this family. Just like we do not discriminate between two parts of our body, similarly, we must not discriminate between people. We must become citizens of the universe.
Whilst in Uganda, Pujya Bhaishri also visited the blood donation camp where 108 people donated blood. Pujya Bhaishri was impressed to see children recite the 12th chapter of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. On day 6, Pujya Bhaishri also performed Rudrabhishek at the Somnath Shiv Mandir in Kampala.
