9th Akhand Ramayan paath at Sanskruti parivar center in New Jersey, USA

Sanskruti Parivar organized Akhand Paath of the Ramcharitmanas during Thanksgiving to recite and pray glories of Bhagwan Shri Ramchandra. The event was conducted at Cedar Grove, New Jersey. This auspicious event was commenced at 11:00 am on Friday and concluded at 1:00 pm on Saturday followed by Ramdhun, kirtan, aarti and mahaprasad. At the conclusion of the program, Shraddha Desai gave a 15 minute concert to recite glories of Lord Shri Ram. Shraddha, a young girl in high school, played the harmonium and sang Shri Ram bhajans. She had attended Satsang regularly every Friday since she was 4 year old until age 10. Currently she attends Hindu Cultural School classes to learn traditional Indian music.

More than 35 devotees took part in the event. Two devotees namely Kiritbhai Shah and Nainaben Shah prayed continuously for 26 hours while others from 3 to 23 hours. This was the 9th Annual Akhand Ramayan Paath event at the center in New Jersey. The center has decided to recite 7 Sundarkaand stanzas every Friday and discuss its importance. Many of the devotees signed a letter seeking blessings from Pujya Bhaishri.
