Cleaner or businessman: We work hard for our country
A king began to construct a temple with thousands of his workers.
One day, the king came to inspect all the work being carried out. He asked one of the sculptors, “Brother, what are you doing?”
The sculptor replied, “Sire, I am making the pavilion.”
“Good,” the king said, and walked further.
He asked a second sculptor, “What are you doing?”
“I am making a pillar.”
The king then asked a third sculptor, “What are you doing?”
“Sire, I am constructing the dome.”
The king saw a labourer working with radiance illuminating from his face. The labourer’s work was to deliver the sculpted stones to the mason by lifting them on his head. The king approached this labourer and asked him, “What are you doing?”
The labourer replied, “Sire, I am making a temple.”
Even a labourer who cleans the streets of the city and sweeps them early in the morning, when asked, what he is doing, he must reply, “I am developing my country”; And if he works with all his heart and soul, then the labourer is not just cleaning the rubbish from the streets, but also, clearing the rubbish from the country.
Hard work is necessary. How can one remain idle? We must account for every minute. Consider every minute precious and work to spread humanity, kindness, radiance and happiness to others. We must not remain idle and must work hard for our country.
Jai Hind!
