Vaishvik Sanskruti Parivar, Gandhinagar celebrates Independence Day
Vaishvik Sanskruti Parivar, Gandhinagar Independence Day by organising Vande Mataram Deshbhakti Spardha, a competition with the theme of patriotism on 13th August, 2006 at Shri Khimji Visram & Sons Sanskar Bhavan at Gandhinagar. The program lasted for four hours and 143 children from 12 schools participated in the competition.
The Chief Guest of the Programme was Shri U.C.Rane, Retired IAS Officer. Others who graced the occasion were Dr. Veenaben Patel, Principal S.S.Patel College of Education, Shri Gautambhai Oza, Dr. Vinubhai Patel, Shri Mahendrabhai Trivedi, M.L.A. Bhavnagar and Shri Ashokbhai Thakker.
The program began with the lighting of the lamp and all the above guests lighted the lamp whilst the children of Sandipani Shishu Vihar recited some mantras. Shri Vijaybhai Thakker who is the centre coordinator of Vaishvik Sanskruti Parivar, Gandhinagar informed the audience about their ongoing activities and necessary information about the competition.
Shri Gautambhai Oza, Pujya Bhaishri’s younger brother gave blessings on behalf of Pujya Bhaishri.
The competition was in two parts, individual performances and group performances. All the children danced and sang wonderfully well. The winners were announced and given prizes and each participant was awarded a certificate, lunch box and biscuits.
Shri Mahendrabhai Trivedi gave an encouraging speech on courage and so did Shri U. C. Rane who truly inspired the students.
All in all it was a wonderful and successful program.
