Pujya Bhaishri confers title Brahmarshi Varya to Pujya Shri Krishnashankar Shastriji (Dadaji)

In accordance with the long cherished desire of Pujya Bhaishri, a Bhav Pujan function of renowned sage and scholar Pujya Shri Krishnashankar Shastriji (Dadaji) was accomplished on 15th February 2002 at Sola Bhagwat Vidyapeeth, the well-known center for learning and propagation of Sanskrit. Pujya Dadaji was conferred the title of Brahmarshi Varya in acknowledgement of his incomparable service in the field of nurturing ancient Indian tradition of Rishi culture which facilitated the process of creating and spreading divine knowledge and higher values.

The function commenced with the musical recitation of Vedic chants by the rishikumars of Sandipani Vidyaniketan at 10 a.m. Renowned Sanskrit scholars like Sarva Shri K.K.Shastriji, Shri Dahyabhai Pancholi, Shri Bhagwatiprasad Pandya, Swami Madhavpriyadasji of Swaminarayan gurukul, Rajkot, Pujya Bharati Bapu and other holy saints of Santram temple, Nadiad were present on this occasion to grace the function held in honour of the learned sage and offered their tributes.

Rishikumar Vipul Vegda of Sandipani Vidyaniketan addressed the learned assembly with a short simple Sanskrit speech. Shri Gaurishanker Joshi, a teacher of Sandipani Vidyaniketan read out the text of the Sanskrit eulogy praising the accomplishments of Pujya Dadaji, which was personally scripted by Bhaishri for the occasion. Subsequently Pujya Bhaishri presented a specially designed shield and memento to Pujya Dadaji. Speaking on the occasion Pujya Bhaishri, in his inimitable style said that this was no ordinary function of conferring some award to Pujya Dadaji, but ia function of paying our obeisance to a living idol of learning; and in doing so we are not only honouring him, but feel ourselves honoured in the process. Other assembled dignitaries also paid their respects and offered tributes to Pujya Dadaji.
