Sandipani Celebrates The 64th Independence Day of India
On 15th August 2010 the students of Sandipani Rishikul and Gurukul English Medium celebrated the 64th Independence day of India in the presence of guests, friends and relatives. Shri Madhubhai Mehta, the chief guest of this occasion, was greatly honoured by the students.
Firstly at 8.30am on the Hari Mandir site, dhvaja rohan (flag hoisting) was carried out by the chief guest and other dignitaries. The national anthem was played and the students paid their respect to the national flag along with a harmonious parade. Thereafter the students of Gurukul sang melodious patriotic songs.
The principal of the Gurukul, Dr. S. Sukla, provided a vibrant speech on Nationalism to the gathering. Mr. Mishra, principal of the Rishikul also addressed the people present on the importance of Independence day. This memorable event ended at 9.40am after the distribution of sweets to everyone.
