Annual celebrations at Sandipani Vidyaniketan

Annual Celebrations of Sandipani Vidyaniketan were planned on 14th, 15th and 16th January 2003. Cricket, Volley Ball and Khokho competitions were held on 14th and 15th and a cultural program was organised on 16th.

Sports competitions were held between various standards and winning teams were awarded shields. A friendly Cricket Match was organised on 16th morning between Pujya Bhaishri eleven and the winners of the Tournament. Pujya Bhaishri captained his team. While batting he scored 51 Runs, the highest individual score in his team and remained not out. He was declared Man of the Match. Running commentary was going on entertaining the audience of guests, trustees, teachers and our Rishikumars. Some of the trustees and teachers were also part of the teams.

On the 16th evening a cultural Program was organised. Shri Navneetpriya Shashtriji from Nadiad was the Chief Guest. The District Collector of Porbandar, Navy Chief Shri Chopra and Shri Dhirendrabhai Mehta were other distinguished guests. Students were the performers on the stage. Sandipani Orchestra, group of Rishikumars playing various instruments and the Prahasanswere very impressive. A forty-five minute Sanskrit drama was also performed. It was written by Shri Krishna Misraji, our learned teacher. The program was organised in the new Auditorium which is still under construction. The program ended with the Ashirvachan from Shashtriji. The program was enjoyed by all present.
