Every individual requires spirituality. Money can provide comfort but not peace. Even the wealthy are sorrowful, but they are comfortably sorrowful.
Spirituality means that every person desires bliss, peace and everlasting happiness. Having earned wealth, one experiences that one did not gain bliss or peace through the material things. Then, one will walk on the path of spirituality to attain peace and happiness. This is not helplessness but one’s desire. One is hungry from the inside and this leads one to spirituality one day.
This is why great kings would leave their kingdom at a certain age and take refuge at Rishis in the forest. An individual can attain peace, happiness and bliss through spirituality whilst living in this materialistic world.
