Harikatha at Haridwar dedicated to our freedom fighters
World famed Pujya Swami Satyamitanandji organized a Bhagwat Katha Saptah in the vicinity of Bharat Mata Mandir and Samanvaya Trust at Haridwar, where Pujya Bhaishri narrated the divine leela of the lord to an audience comprising of visitors from all over the World. The unique feature of this Bhagwat Katha was that it was dedicated to the memory of freedom fighters and the soldiers defending the boundaries of our country. During katha, Pujya Swami Satyamitranandji maharaj also delivered inspiring discourses daily from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Initiating his discourses Pujya Bhaishri blamed the present day leaders of our country for not setting inspiring examples for our youths to follow. He compared the energy of the youth to the flow of energetic streams which need to be harnessed for the development of our country. When our youths can win accolades in advanced countries for their achievements why can’t they do the same here? he asked. The answer, he said, lies in the lack of proper guidance from our leaders.
Pujya Bhaishri commended the sacrifices of our soldiers and their families saying that the obligations on the society of those who send their sons to defend the borders are greater than those of the greatest philanthropists of the country. And those who indulge in corruption either power or pelf are the betrayers of Bharatmata.
He further said that it is the duty of the leaders to contemplate upon the problems facing the society and to provide ways and means of removing them. Lord Krishna provided new social systems for the society of his times and did away with traditional systems. Each and every incident in the life of Shri Krishna gives revolutionary direction to some aspect of our social life.
