Explaining the true meaning of dharma, Pujya Bhaishri said that dharma is that which facilitates deliverance and emancipation of the individual. The purpose of dharma is moksha (liberation) and not material progress; the purpose of artha (economic progress) is seva and not kama (pleasure); and the purpose of kama is vanshavriddhi (continuation of heredity) and not vishaya vilas (pleasure). That which supports us is dharma.
Shri Krishna janmotsav, Shri Govardhan puja and Shri Rukmini vivah were celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm during the katha. The Rishikumars of Sandipani Vidyaniketan enhanced the pious vibrations by reciting the Shrimad Bhagavat during the katha. Shri Vishnu yagya was also performed during the katha. The divine people of Kolkata city greatly benefited from this katha.
