Ahmedabad Bhagavat Katha
Pujya Bhaishri’s Bhagavat katha was organised in Ahmedabad from 24th January to 31st January 2010. The katha was arranged by Param Pujya Mahamandaleshvar 1008 Shri Vishvambhar Bharati Bapu to support and encourage worldwide peace. The chief hosts of the katha were the families of Shri Praveenbhai Kotak and Shri Jatinbhai Gupta.
On the first day, the grand Shobha Yatra of the pothiji set out at 2pm. All saints and sages who had arrived to listen the katha joined the Shobha Yatra. Pujya Bhaishri and the pothiji were provided a warm welcome on arriving at the katha venue. Thereafter, Pujya Shri Satyamitranandji Maharaj, Pujya Shri Morari Bapu, Pujya Bharati Bapu and other saints lit the auspicious lamp. Pujya Shri Morari Bapu and Pujya Bharati Bapu extended their blessings in their inaugural speeches. Pujya Bhaishri then began to narrate the Shrimad Bhagavat katha.
Apart from the well known saints, many politicians and industrialists like Shri Karshanbhai Patel who owns Nirma industries attended the katha. The katha was telecasted daily on Aastha channel.
During the course of the katha, Shri Krishna pragatya, Shri Giriraj pujan and Shri Rukmini vivah were celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm. In addition a 108 kundi Lakshachandi Mahayagya was performed along with the katha. Elaborate arrangements for meals had been made for the visitors on all days of the katha. In the evenings, a bhajan sandhya and a dairo of Gujarati folk singers were also organised as part of this katha.
