“God Resides in the Holy Mother Cow”, Says Pujya Bhaishri in the First Gau Katha at Ahmedabad
Gau Seva Vikas Board organised, for the first time, a remarkable katha by Pujya Bhaishri on the holy mother cow, on the platform of devotion, zeal and compassion, from 20th December to 22nd December 2013.
Many saints and dignitaries graced this grand event with their divine presence. The chief president of Gau Seva Vikas Board, Dr. Vallabhbhai Kathiriya, inaugurated the katha with an inspiring speech. This was followed with various divine sermons by Pujya Shri Madhavpriya Swamiji, Pujya Shri Satyamitranandji and other scholars.
Pujya Bhaishri began the katha by stressing the importance of cows, the service and wealth of cows based on scientific and spiritual knowledge provided in our scriptures. Pujya Bhaishri said, “Gaavo vishvasya maataraha”, meaning, “Cow is the mother of the entire universe”. He said the cows nourish and protect all beings, be one of any religion, caste or creed.
Pujya Bhaishri further said that merely by remembering the holy mother cow, who is the abode of all deities, all our sins from various births are burnt into ashes. Providing our service to cows leads to increase in our wealth and fame and purifies our mind. Above all, most importantly, we acquire love for Shri Krishna.
When we visit a temple for God’s darshan, the temple is the office of God. We are restricted with the rules at the temple which we must abide to. However, a Gaushala (cow-shed) is God’s home. Here, we can meet God without any restrictions. God warmly welcomes His devotees and provides complete attention and His services at a Gaushala.
God says, “Gavaam Madhya vasaamyaham”, meaning, “I, myself, reside in cows”. Hence, whenever we get the opportunity, we must dedicate our services to cows.
This three day katha was a divine, pious and blissful experience for all.
Gau Mata Ki Jai!
