Pujya Bhaishri narrated Kanhaiya’s divine leela in the Shrimad Bhagavat Gyan Yagya at Chandrapur
Shri Radhe Radhe Bhagavat Seva Samiti organised a divine Shrimad Bhagavat Gyan Yagya by Pujya Bhaishri in Chandrapur town, Maharashtra, from 3rd December to 10th December 2011.
On the first day, a majestic Shobha Yatra commenced from Shri Lakshmi Narayan temple at midday. Over a hundred thousand devotees joined the procession that traversed the magnificently decorated streets of Chandrapur town. The Pothiji reached the katha venue, Gokul Dham, where it was welcomed in devotion filled atmosphere created by the joyful chants of Harinaam by the devotees present. Thereafter, the auspicious lamp was lighted by the chief hosts of the katha: the Upadhyay family and Thakkar family.
Pujya Bhaishri began the blissful Krishna katha after manglaacharan. He said that Chandrapur is the centre for worshipping Maa Mahakali. Similarly this Bhagavat Katha is also our Maa (mother) who provides human beings the nectar of katha in order to save them from the poison of death; and this is possible if Man takes refuge at the divine lotus feet of Lord Shri Krishna with unwavering devotion. This katha destroys the calamities, sins and sufferings of human beings.
Shri Krishna janma was celebrated with great bliss at 10pm on the fifth day of the katha. The environment was filled with devotion on the arrival of Shri Gokul chandra. Pujya Bhaishri elaborated on Kanhaiya’s childhood leelas and not only engrossed himself in Shri Krishna’s affection, but also the devotees in Vraj darshan. Various scenes from the Bhagavat were also enacted during this katha.
Along with the katha, free community meals were organised on all the eight days in which over a hundred thousand people took prasad.
This Shrimad Bhagavat katha in Maa Mahakali’s heavenly town of Chandrapur became a memorable katha.
