Shrimad Bhagavat Katha Blesses Lucknow, The Sacred Tirth Of The River Maa Gomti

A Shrimad Bhagavat Katha was organised from 22nd February to 1st March 2011 in the presence of the sacred river Maa Gomti in Lucknow, the city that symbolises the spirit of Indian culture. The katha was held under the auspices of Shri Badrinath Katha Samiti.
On the morning of 22nd February, a grand Shobha Yatra travelled from the house Pujya Bhaishri was residing to the katha mandap whilst singing bhajans and kirtan. The president of Badrinath Katha Samiti, Shri Alokji, kindled the auspicious lamp and delivered a welcome speech. This was followed by mangalaacharan by Pujya Bhaishri after which he began narrating the katha.
The whole discourse for the eight days was based on the following message by Pujya Bhaishri:
Khoj apni, Prem parmatma se, seva sansar ki”,
meaning, search oneself for self-realisation, love God, provision of service to the world.
As with all kathas, grand celebrations were done for several occasions like Krishna pragatya. The people of Lucknow were left with sweet and unforgettable memories on completion of the divine Shrimad Bhagavat Katha.
