A divine Shrimad Bhagavat Katha based on compassion at the banks of holy maa Ganga
In the presence of Param Pujya Bhramswarup Bhramacharyaji of Jai Ram Ashram in Haridwar, Pujya Bhaishri gracefully narrated a divine Shrimad Bhagavat Katha at the banks of the holy river Maa Ganga from 5th September to 12th September 2011.
The katha was graced with many saints who kindled the auspicious lamp for the inauguration. This was followed by a welcome speech from Param Pujya Bhramswarup Bhramacharyaji Maharaj who said that he was very fortunate that Pujya Bhaishri, who he considers as his elder brother, has arrived at his younger brother’s abode.
Pujya Bhaishri focused on the word Karuna, meaning compassion, during the entire eight day journey of this katha. He said that Shri Shukdevji enlightened us with this Shrimad Bhagavat only out of compassion. Also, it is only due to compassion we see this world experience eternal happiness.
Pujya Bhaishri said that wherever we see in this world, we will notice God’s compassion in all four directions. This compassion is not limited to human beings; it is in fact spread to all living beings in this world. When we have this perspective, we find God’s creation of and in this world adoringly remarkable.
Pujya Shri Chidanand Saraswatiji (well known as Pujya Muniji) and other saints graced everyone with their holy presence during the katha. All the devotees and saints present felt blessed and fortunate to have the added benefit of bathing in Maa Ganga and performing her aarati and darshan.
