A divine Shrimad Bhagavat katha during the holy time of Mahakumbh
When the Sun moves in the sign of Capricorn during the lunar month of Magha, according to the Hindu calendar, the celestial bodies are so arranged that the sacred spot of Prayag (Allahabad) where the three holy rivers, Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati meet, receive the most potent spiritual radiations from the space and thus the banks of Prayag become the holiest of the holy spots. This enhances and facilitates ones progress of spiritual endeavours. Therefore many saints and religious aspirants from all over the country and world gather at Prayag to benefit from this wonderful confluence of spiritual energies described as the Amrit Kumbh (the pot that pours nectar on our earth)
.
During this holiest event, a divine Bhagavat Katha by Pujya Bhaishri was organised at the hermitage of Pujya Mahamandaleshwar Shri Karshni Maharaj ji from 16th to 23rd January 2013. The grand Shobha Yatra began from the Sankirtan Mandir. Many saints and devotees joined in this procession with the chanting of Hari naam which proceeded to the katha venue. Thereafter, Pujya Shri Karshni Maharajshri and other assembled saints worshipped Bhagavat Pothiji and kindled the auspicious lamp.
Commencing the divine katha, Pujya Bhaishri emphasised the fact that the divine leela of Shri Hari was being narrated on the banks of the holy Triveni (confluence of three holy rivers: Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati) in the inspiring proximity of Shri Ramanvihariji and on the occasion of Mahakumbh.
Pujya Bhaishri further said that getting to hear the Shrimad Bhagavat katha was an opportune occasion which fills our hearts with love for Shri Krishna, nourishes that love and radiates our lives with a Gopi’s love. Shrimad Bhagavat blossoms the morning and dawn of our lives and keeps our lives filled with fragrance.
Festivals like Shri Krishna janmotsav, worship of Shri Govardhan and Shri Rukmini vivah, were celebrated with great enthusiasm.
