“A teacher is the builder of the nation and the world at large,” says Pujya Bhaishri during Guru Purnima at Sandipani
Although several full moon days are celebrated as various festivals at Shri Hari Mandir, the occasion of Guru Purnima, which falls on the full moon day of the Hindu month Ashadh, holds special significance for the Rishikumars and devotees of Sandipani.
On the eve of Guru Purnima, a programme was organised whereby the teachers of the village Kutiyana were honoured for their grand and hard work. Speaking at this function, Pujya Bhaishri conveyed his blessings to these teachers and expressed that a teacher is the builder of the nation and the world at large. Quoting Chanakya, the wise Guru and guide of King Chandragupta, Pujya Bhaishri said that both destruction and regeneration takes place under the direction of a Guru.
Pujya Bhaishri also emphasised that our first Guru are our parents. We must bow and pay our respects to them every morning.
Pujya Bhaishri said, “The way God loves his devotees, Bhramins love Lord Shiv and Ganeshji loves his sweet – modak, similarly, I love teachers. Today, when people are seen to be going in the wrong direction, I only trust teachers. I worship teachers with the same faith I worship Lord Shiv.”
Thereafter, all devotees blessed their eyes with divine darshan of Lord Krishna on swings made from flowers at Shri Hari Mandir. All the deities were also adorned with flowers.
On the day of Guru Purnima, the holy flags were hoisted atop Shri Hari Mandir. At the Sandipani auditorium, Shri Guru Geeta was recited led by Pujya Bhaishri. Pujya Bhaishri then gave a short speech after which all the devotees present, including the Rishikumars, paid their respects individually to Pujya Bhaishri. The occasion ended blissfully with an evening aarati at Shri Hari Mandir.
