“All students should know the history of our country,” says Pujya Bhaishri on Independence Day of India
This year, during auspicious Shravan month, the Independence day of India was celebrated with great fervour in the inspiring presence of Pujya Bhaishri.
Pujya Bhaishri unfurled the national flag at the courtyard of Shri Hari Mandir. Thereafter, the Rishikumars, Gurukul students and assembled guests sang the national anthem. This was followed by an enchanting cultural programme and dance by the Gurukul girl students.
The principals of Shri Babadeshwar Sanskrit College and Sandipani English Medium School expressed their views on the country in their speeches. Shri Tusharbhai Jani, chief guest on this occasion, said in his speech that teachers are the most important pillars of our country as they flower the characters of people who will result in the progress of our nation.
Commenting on the Independence Day of our country, Pujya Bhaishri said, “it is imperative that every student knows the history of our country. Students should be shown documentaries etc on the history of our country and taught on the importance of the sacrifice made by the martyrs in the struggle for freedom.
The day was ended by distribution of prasad to everyone.
