Bhagwat Katha Ganga flows to Ahemdabad, Umreth and Jodhpur
Ahmedabad
Shrimad Bhagwat Katha is the divine stream that eliminates the sufferings caused by the rough and tough living conditions of this Kaliyuga and endows its listeners with forbearance and consequent spiritual calm and serenity. It springs from the mouth of Lord Adinarayan and continues to flow incessantly even today through innumerable speakers benefiting in the process an infinite number of people.
A grand Katha session was organized at Ahmedabad from 6th to 14th February 2002 on the grounds of Shri Amba Mata temple at Maninagar. The session began with a Shobhayatra Procession starting from the temple leading to the ground with great pomp and fanfare. All-important occasions like Shri Krishna janma, Govardhan utsava, Rukmini vivaha, etc. were enthusiastically celebrated. Pujya Bhaishri with his infinite wisdom and enchanting voice left listeners enthralled.
Pujya Shri Kalyandasji maharaj and Pujya Vishwambhar Bharati bapu remained present through the katha session and blessed the occasion. Prominent people like Shri Mahendrabhai Trivedi also attended the katha.
Umreth
Between 19th January and 28th January 2002 the divine stream of Pujya Bhaishri’s Bhagwat Katha arrived at Shri Santram temple in Umreth by virtue of the pious resolve of Pujya Shri Ganeshdasji maharaj, the chief mahant of Santram temple.
It began with a grand shobha yatra in the morning of 19th January, which wound its way through the streets of Umreth town, being enthusiastically welcomed and joined by people of all religions, castes and creed. The procession was so long that it lasted till 4.00 p.m. in the evening.
The katha began in the holy presence of Shri Devidasji maharaj, shri Kalyandasji maharaj, The Mahantshri of Santram temple and other saints. Many socio-political celebrities also attended the katha sessions. A Shikhar pratishthan mahotsava of Shri Santram temple was also celebrated during this session. Sakhar varsha was also arranged on one of the days.
Jodhpur
The small town of Chaupasni situated at a distance of about 7 kms. from Jodhpur had the good fortune of hosting a katha session by Pujya Bhaishri from 17th to 24th February 2002. It began with the Pothi yatra from Shri Surshyam temple at 9.00 a.m. on 17th Feb.2002 and reached the katha mandap at 11.00 a.m. The organizers had made adequate arrangements of city bus service to enable people from Jodhpur city to reach the katha venue.
Shri Dhwajaji arrived from Shri Nathdwara during the katha and a Chhappan bhog utsava was also celebrated. The devotees accorded a very warm welcome to Lord Shri Krishna.
Many people had come from Gujarat to attend this katha. Hence suitable arrangement for both Gujarati as well as Rajasthani food was made. 108 Brahmins, including 21 rishikumars of Sandipani Vidyaniketan recited Shrimad Bhagwat during this session. The Chief Minister of Rajasthan Shri Ashok Ghehlot came to hear the divine katha on one of the days and received the blessings of Pujya Bhaishri.
