‘Chant His name, repeatedly’ said Pujya Bhaishri during Patna katha
“In modern times i.e. in kaliyug people are afflicted with two maladies. One, that they are miserable and unhappy and two, they have lost direction in their life. Nobody knows where they are going and why. Everyone seems to be in a race without any focused goal. In order to remedy this malaise people resort to various spiritual measures like yagya (sacrifice), japa (repeating God’s name), tapa (austerities), vrata (religious vows) and puja (worshipping God) but the easiest and effective amongst all these means is taking God’s name,” said Pujya Bhaishri quoting following quartets of the Ramacharit Manas.
Ehi kalikal na saadhan duja
Jog, jagya, japa, tapa brata puja
Rama hi gayeeye sumiriye Rama hi
Satat suniye Rama gun gaan hi.
Pujya Bhaishri was speaking at the Patna katha organized from 15-12-02 to 22-12-02. The katha was hosted by the Adhyatmik Sewa Samiti. Shri Poonamchandji with active co-operation of Shri Rajendraji, Shri Vijayji Khemka and others organized all arrangements. The entire arrangements were so immaculately organised and disciplined that one could not believe that the katha was being held in Bihar which is reputed for other reasons.
Shri Krishna Janmotsav was celebrated on 19th and the Govardhan Utsav was celebrated on 21st. His Excellency, the governor of Bihar came to hear the katha. On the purnahuti, Shri Lalooprasad Yadav came to hear the katha. He praised the Indian Culture and requested Pujya Bhaishri to come again to Patna and other parts of Bihar and narrate the katha. Pujya mamaji also spoke on the occasion.
