Naradji leaves on advising Parvatiji to meditate. Parvati relates her dream to her parents, gains permission to go to the forest and performs a very difficult meditation.
On the other hand, Shankarji is completely detached and is roaming and either praising Lord Ram, listening or preaching Ram katha. A long time passed this way. Lord Ram is pleased on seeing Shankarji’s devotion. Parvatiji has gained a divine boon via a divine utterance from the sky that Lord Shiv will be her husband in this birth as well.
Shri Ram, on being pleased, appears in front of Shivji and requests Shivji to marry Parvatiji. Normally, when God appears, he asks the follower to ask for a boon. Here, instead, Shri Ram presents himself to ask for something. When your God desires to ask you for something, then know that your love has matured. How great is a devotee who can fulfil his/her God’s desire!
Ab binati mama sunahu Shiv jo mo par nij nehu, jaai bibaahahu sailajahi yaha mohi maange dehu.
Shankarji takes his God’s wish as his command and fit to be obeyed.
Sir dhari aayasu karia tumhara, param dharamu yaha nath hamara.
However, Shri Ram tells Shivji that since this is related to a relationship and marriage, it would be better if Shivji took this to heart rather than just a command to obey. Then Shankarji resides this form of Ramji in his heart and concentrates on it with bliss.
On the other hand, Saptarishi (the seven divine Rishis) test Parvatiji’s love in which she succeeds. Saptarishi relate Parvatiji’s devotion to Shivji and Shivji delightedly enters into a state of meditation.
When Mahadevji was in meditation, the demon Tarkasur began to cause havoc. The demi-gods fought with him but he would not die. The demi-gods took refuge of Brahmaji who told them not to worry and that,
Shambhu sukra sambhoot sut ehi jitai ran soi,
the demon will die by the son of Lord Shankar. The demi-gods said that in that case this is impossible. Brahmaji questioned why and they replied that Shankarji does not have a wife as Sati had burnt her body in the Yagya. Brahmaji said, “don’t worry. Sati has re-born as Parvati and attained a boon that Shivji will be her husband. The bride is ready. All you need to do is get the bridegroom ready.”
The demi-gods said,” Another problem! Who will awaken Shivji from his meditation?”
“That’s not a problem at all!” exclaimed Brahmaji, “pathavahu kamu jaai Shiv paahi – send Kaamdev to Shivji”.
Some people always see problems when they have a task to do. They will not move even one step forward. My dear, which path is without dilemmas? You have to get through a path covered with stones. On the other hand, some people are trouble shooters. They will find a solution at every step.
