‘Devote yourself to God when you are young’ said Pujya Bhaishri during Sangamner katha
“Young age is like a blossomed rose, beautiful and fragrant. Hence we should offer ourselves to God when we are young. Not in the old age, when we have passed our prime,” so said Pujya Bhaishri while speaking at his Sangamner Katha session held from 9th March to 16th March 2003. Pujya Bhaishri also said “Shrimad Bhagwat aimed at making us a complete person; not just a devotee but also a gyani and a nishkam karma yogi. Shrimad Bhagwat enabled not just King Parikshit to attain salvation but over the millenniums since its enunciation it has ensured emancipation of countless souls. Hence anyone who desires salvation should seek refuge only in Shrimad Bhagwat.” Pujya Bhaishri further continued saying, “Though this divine scripture was created thousands of years back, there is no problem of our contemporary life that cannot be solved with its guidance.”
The Sangamner Katha of Pujya Bhaishri was hosted under the joint auspices of Shri Chaitanya Adhyatmik Trust and Yuva Mahesh Group. On the inaugural day Pujya Bhaishri strode over a grand Rath to reach the katha venue. Specially decorated elephants, camels and horses joined the Shobha Yatra of the Bhagwat Pothi. Almost the entire town of Sangamner came out of their houses to welcome the Shobha Yatra.
Renowned kathakars like Shri Kishorebhai Vyas and Shri Ramankantbhai Vyas and other well known saints came to hear Pujya Bhaishri narrate the divine Bhagwat katha. Important festivals such as Shri Krishna janmotsav, Rukmini Vivah, etc. were celebrated with great enthusiasm. Programs of bhajans and religious discourses were organized in the evenings. Pujya Bhaishri also witnessed the stage show of ‘Janata Raja’ the famous play based on the life of Shivaji Maharaj.
