Divine Shrimad Bhagavat Katha at Surat
Surat, the fast growing city of South Gujarat, was known as Suryapur in the Puranas. A Shrimad Bhagavat Katha by Pujya Bhaishri was organised at the banks of River Taapi in Surat from 25th December 2013 to 1st January 2014 by the chief sponsor Shri Savjibhai Patel of Harikrishna Group.
The Shobha Yatra commenced from the residence of Shri Lavjibhai Dalia. Thousands of devotees joined the Shobha Yatra singing bhajans and kirtan till the katha venue.
In this katha, Pujya Bhaishri said, “Bhagavat, Gita and Ramayan are texts of psychology through which we can treat our minds. Bhagavat katha is a well of love. Those who are thirsty approach this well, to quench their thirst and gain satisfaction. Even ascetics and sages, who are detached from this material world, come to this well. This well of Krishna katha is such that despite drinking the sweet water and quenching one’s thirst, one returns for more and more”.
This katha was telecast live on Zee Jagaran channel. Listeners gained a deep understanding on the various topics of the Shrimad Bhagavat discussed by Pujya Bhaishri. The katha was completed with great joy and bliss.
