Just as a drop loses its distinctness when it falls into the ocean so also does a soul when it unites with the Parmatma. When a seer establishes his consciousness in Brahmabhāv or the Supreme Consciousness, only his body continues to function as a separate entity. This is all due to God’s leela. Not everyone can remain in that sublime state of consciousness where oneness is achieved with the Supreme Being. Shankaracharyaji wrote, “Brahmasākṣātkār is experiencing the union of one’s soul with Bhrama”.
