Gopal visits Ram lala through the medium of Pujya Bhaishri’s Bhagavat katha in Ayodhya, India
Shri Ayodhya-dham katha was organised by Srimad Bhagavat Gyan Yagya Samiti. The katha commenced on 20th March 2007 and took viraam on 27th March. Shri Dinanath Jhunjhunwala of Varanasi and Shri Himmatlal Agrawal were the Chief hosts of the katha.
Shri Nrityagopaldasji Maharaj, Shri Vedantji Maharaj of Ayodhya and the President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Shri Ashokji Singhal kindled the auspicious lamp at the beginning of the katha. Shri Ashokji Singhal in his speech expressed his concern at the fading of Indian ethos (sanskaras) due to the aggressive onslaught of western culture. He prayed to Ram Lala the presiding deity of Ayodhya that saints like Pujya Bhaishri may continue to nurture Indian culture and ethos.
Commencing the katha Pujya Bhaishri remarked that Gopal has today come to dance in the birthplace of Sri Ram lala. He will continue to dance here for the next eight days. Milk is offered to Ramlala everyday. That milk is Ramayan. And we shall mix the misri, sugar of Bhagavat in it and present it as our offering to Ram lala for the next eight days.
Bhagavat teaches us that we should die in such a fashion that we may not have to die again and again. i.e. We may not have to be born again. Shrimad Bhagavat liberates us from the cycle of birth and rebirths.
Shri Krishna Janmotsav was celebrated with great enthusiasm during the katha. The host family presented beautiful scenes of Vasudev and Balakrishna.
During the katha, Pujya Bhaishri visited various historical sites of Ayodhya. He also went for the Darshan of the Shiva temple installed on the banks of River Saryu by Lav and Kush. He performed a Rudrabhishek in that temple. Pujya Bhaishri also visited the ‘Ramayan’ ashram of Shri Ramkinkardasji maharaj and he also met with other saints.
Musical nights were organised during the entire katha. Celebrated Kawwali singer of Jaipur Haji Sayyed Murid Anish Ansari presented his kawwalis on 20th March. On 21st March a Mushaira was organised in the presence of Pujya Bhaishri wherein Shri Ikbal Ashahar and Shri Munavvar Rana presented their shairis. On 22nd March Shri Shayar Jamali and Shri Akhtar Aziz presented their gazals and songs.
On 23rd March, Shri Akil Nemani and celebrated poet Shri Niraj presented their songs and gazals in the presence of Pujya Bhaishri.
Pujya Bhaishri ended the katha with a prayer and asked all the Hindus of the world to ensure that the Ram mandir is built in Ayodhya and that our Ram shouldn’t be left to live in a prison like structure in which he is presently.
Ram navmi was celebrated with great fan and fare on 27th March, 2007. The whole of Ayodhya saw lakhs of pilgrims visit for darshans and badhais of Ram janam were sung all over Ayodhya.
