Graduation Ceremony 2019/20 and Happy Retirement to Pujya Mishraji Guruji

On 11th March 2020, Pujya Bhaishri attended the graduation ceremony of students who have completed their 7 years at BA level and become Shāstris. At the same time, this occasion was used to wish a happy retirement to Guruji Pujya Shri Krishna Mishraji, who has spent over 30 years as a teacher dedicatedly to Sandipani.

Shri Ghanshyambhai Mehtaji, Managing Trustee Shri Madhubhai Mehta, Dr. Gaurishankarbhai Joshi, Rishikumars Abhishek, Dharmik and Maulik praised and expressed their sincere gratitude to Pujya Mishraji Guruji.

The principal of Babadeshwar Sanskrit Mahavidyalay (Sandipani Rishikul) gave a welcome speech and expressed his respect and gratitude in Sanskrit in the form of shlokas towards Guruji Pujya Mishraji. The trustees and Bipinbhai then presented a citation of acheivements, written by Bipinbhai, and several presents to Pujya Mishraji.

 

In his speech, respectable Mishraji expressed his feelings on how he had turned down several offers from the Government and decided to commit his life to Sandipani. He then said that a Guru’s greatness is determined by one’s students. Thus, when a Guru gains a worthy disciple, the Guru’s honour automatically increases. For example, Shri Ramkrishna Pramhansa had many disciples but his true recognition came through Swami Vivekanand.

 

Pujya Bhaishri then praised several qualities of Shri Mishraji and expressed how pleased the Rishikumars must be who have experienced these qualities of Mishraji for the past 30 years. Pujya Bhaishri requested to continue coming to Sandipani to meet everyone and keep in touch as the doors will always be open for him. In addition, Sandipani is his home and it is our responsibility to look after him in his retirement age.

Pujya Bhaishri expressed his happiness for the 32 students graduating, blessed them and advised them on various aspects such as Sandhya worship, Gayatri mantra chants and implementing what the values they have learnt.

The event, well organised by Shri Bipinbhai Joshi, was completed in the presence of teachers, trustees, Rishikumars, parents and Pujya Bhaishri.
