Guru Purnima celebrations at Sandipani Vidyaniketan
Guru Purnima was celebrated by Rishikumars of Sandipani Rishikul and students of the Sandipani Gurukul English Medium School together on 2nd July 2004. After Guru Puja in the morning the students of both schools expressed their feelings for Gurujan (teachers). The programme started with Veda Path and was interspersed with bhajans sung by the Rishikumars. Ex-students of the Rishikul, Shri Vipulbhai Vegda and Shri Bharatbhai Dave explained the importance of the day. Shri Himmatsinh Bias, Principal of the Gurukul explained how individual qualities of a Guru earn him respect. Other teachers too addressed all the students and students in turn expressed their feelings towards their teachers and the whole program was conducted in all sincerity in gratitude to all the Gurus.
Pujya Bhaishri was requested to shower his blessings during the program. His physical presence was made felt by a phone call from him from the USA (where he is presently) when all the students were present in the Satsang Hall. Exactly at 9.05 a.m. he addressed the students and teachers through a speaker phone and microphone so that everyone could hear. All present felt fortunate to have heard Pujya Bhaishri’s Aashirvachan (blessings) live on this auspicious day.
