Guru bin bhavnidhi tarahi na koi, jo biranchi shankar sam hoi.
The grace of a self-realised Sadguru who has transcended the worldly existence driven by the three gunas (constituent qualities, of nature considered to be the cause of all activity in beings) and who has become one with the Supreme Being is essential to enable us to sail through this ocean of life filled with allurements and attachments. Even Lord Shiva is filled with bliss by remembering the supreme Guru Shri Rama. Hence Guru purnima, the day for remembering our Guru and offering our worship and oblations at his lotus feet is certainly a golden opportunity to express our gratitude to our master and seek his grace and mercy.
The festival of Guru purnima is celebrated every year on purnima (full moon day), Shukla paksha (bright fortnight) of the Hindu month Ashadh. On the eve of Guru purnima, a special programme was arranged at Sandipani for honouring and felicitating the teachers who perform the noble task of developing good, future citizens of our country. This was followed by a musical programme of Shri Hari naam sankirtanbhajans and ghazals. Devotees present blessed their eyes with the divine darshan of Shri Balkrishna in a beautiful cradle decorated by the Rishikumars with flowers.
On the day of Guru purnima the deities in Shri Hari Mandir were specially decked with elegant flower decorations. Devotees were elated with this darshan, took the blessings of Shri Hari, then worshipped the holy feet of Pujya Bhaishri, paid their respects and gained blessings from Pujya Bhaishri. All the devotees experienced great peace and happiness.
Thereafter, Pujya Bhaishri bestowed his blessings with a speech and recited part of the Guru Gita with the people present. Those who were not present on the day had the opportunity to do darshan of Pujya Bhaishri and listen to his blessings on you tube. You can listen to this again should you desire to or would have missed this via link mentioned above.
