The narration of Hanumat Charitra in the Ndola city of Zambia commenced on 2nd August 2007. This was the fourth visit of Pujya Bhaishri in the Ndola city of Zambia. In the past, devotees of Ndola have had the privilege of listening to Pujya Bhaishri’s narration of Ram katha as well as Bhagavat katha. The chief hosts of Hanumat Charitra Katha were Shri Rameshbhai and Manjulaben Patel who hosted the katha in memory of Late Shri Chhotubapa, the father of Shri Rameshbhai Patel.

The narration of Hanumat Charitra katha was arranged in the huge hall of a local Hindu temple from 7 to 10 p.m. Approximately 1000 to 1200 devotees from different towns of Zambia like Kirve, Lusaka, Lunshya and others came to hear this divine narration. After the pujan by the host family and Mangalacharan, Pujya Bhaishri recited the Hanuman Chalisa in his mellifluous voice enthralling the listeners in the process.

Thereafter Pujya Bhaishri commenced the Hanumat Charitra with the singing of “Mangal murat, Maarutnandan” and said that Shri Hanumat Maharaj is the God who bestows strength, intelligence and learning (Bal, Buddhi and Vidya). Therefore everyone should recite Hanuman Chalisa daily. Hanumanji faced many obstacles when he set out in search of Sitaji. Similarly we too will face many hurdles when we begin the search of Shri Sitaji. i.e. Bhakti (Devotion). But just like Hanumanji we have to move ahead without worrying about those hurdles.

During this katha Pujya Bhaishri visited the Copper mines in Lunshya. He also visited the temple of Lunshya and did darshan of the deities. The local devotees of Lunshya extended a warm welcome to Pujya Bhaishri. A Bhajan Sammelan was also arranged in Pujya Bhaishri’s presence in which people from all over Zambia participated. This was the 37th Bhajan Sammelan of this year.
