“How did the World Start?” Asks a Young Boy to Pujya Bhaishri During Bhagavat Katha at Sydney

In order to continue to spread and sustain the message of Sanatan Dharma and Hindu culture, a Shrimad Bhagavat Katha was organised at the Shiv Mandir in Minto in Sydney, Australia from 15th September to 22nd September 2018.

The construction of this Shiv Mandir had commenced in 1992 following the narration of a Ram Katha by Pujya Bhaishri. Thereafter in the year 2003, the Shiv Linga was consecrated following the narration of a Shrimad Bhagavat Katha by Pujya Bhaishri.

The Shobha Yatra departed from Shiv Mandir on 15th September after pūja by Shri Pravinbhai and Shrimati Yoginiben Patel along with 51 other Pothiji, divine flags and people dressed in various Indian clothes.

The divine ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’ kirtan continued along the way by over a thousand people until the Katha pavilion.

The thirst for Katha by Pujya Bhaishri, the joy and enthusiasm was clearly expressed on the faces of the listeners.

As Shri Krishna Katha was narrated in the presence of Lord Shiv, Pujya Bhaishri narrated the Katha of the love both have for each other and the importance of this.

Pujya Bhaishri very well explained the form of God as an embodiment of the world, the way this body has been made and four puruṣārtha (goas of life) of Hinduism: Dharma (Righteousness), Artha (wealth), Kāma (desires/pleasures) and Mokśa (liberation).

Pujya Bhaishri said, “Life is to enjoy. The world is filled with dualities such as there is happiness where there is sorrow, there is insult where there is praise. However, if we recognise our true self, then we will know that we are part of God who is the form of Truth, consciousness and bliss”.

Shri Krishna janma was celebrated with great fun amidst the decorations portraying the Hindu culture.

On completion of the Katha on 23rd September, children, youngsters and others joined Pujya Bhaishri on a boat ride followed by a question and answer session.
