Jabalpur Katha at the Banks of River Narmada
From 11th February 2009 to 18th February 2009 Jabalpur received a golden opportunity to listen to Shrimad Bhagavat Katha narrated by Pujya Bhaishri. The katha was inspired by the well known saint Pujya Satyamitranand Giriji and was hosted by Shri Kailash Guptaji. The entire town of Jabalpur had been eagerly waiting for the arrival of Pujya Bhaishri since the news that Pujya Bhaishri will be narrating a katha in their town.
A grand shobha yatra of the Pothiji took place on the first day. Pujya Bhaishri sat on a beautifully decorated chariot with the Pothiji during the yatra. The yatra arrived at the katha mandap amidst joyous chants of Hari naam with the playing of drums and pakhvaj. A huge gathering of devotees welcomed Pujya Bhaishri and the Pothiji at the katha venue.
Pujya Bhaishri began narrating the divine Bhagavat katha after deepa pragatya. He elicited the glory of the sacred river Narmada on the banks of which Jabalpur is located. Nand mahotsav, Shri Goverdhan pooja and Shri Rukmini vivah were celebrated with great fanfare.
Honourable CM of MP Shri Shivaraj Singh Chauhan also arrived to hear this katha. He discussed the issues of the development of MP and obtained blessings from Pujya Bhaishri.
During the course of his stay in Jabalpur, Pujya Bhaishri visited the divine ashram of Shri Kalyandevji Bhabha. He also went for boating in the holy river Narmada. He was greatly impressed with the huge mountains of marble along the shores of the river.
