“Love for God is the only purpose of all Knowledge, Satkarma and Satsang” said Pujya Bhaishri during Mumbai Bhagwat katha
“The historical stories, the episodes and the characters described in the Shrimad Bhagwat and other scriptures should not be taken as mere temporal historical facts. Instead we should understand their spiritual significance and try to imbibe their message in our life,” said Pujya Bhaishri during his Bhagwat katha in Mumbai held from 25th January to 1st February 2004. Continuing his enlightening talk on Bhagwat, Pujya Bhaishri further said: “The bare temporal facts as described by such stories have no importance for us. However learned and scholarly an individual may be, it is futile if all his learning and knowledge does not inspire love for God. The purpose of all knowledge, satkarma and satsang is to inspire and propagate love for God. Only by that can we attain emancipation”.
The Bhagwat katha of Pujya Bhaishri was held at the famous Bhailalbhai ground in Vile-Parle, Mumbai organized by the ‘Samdarshan Seva Parivar’. The shobha yatra was an unforgettable sight where hundreds of ladies carried kalash and Bhagwat pothis on their heads and sang their way to the katha sthal.
The katha was inaugurated by Pujya Shri Guru Sharananandji by lighting the auspicious lamp. All important festivals like Shri Krishna janmotsav, Shri Govardhan utsav, Shri Rukmini Vivaha, etc. during the katha were celebrated with great enthusiasm and merriment.
Along with the katha the Samdarshan Seva Parivar had also organized various medical camps within the same premises outside the katha marquee.
Thousands flocked to drink the divine nectar of Bhagwat katha and Pujya Bhaishri in his usual style kept everyone captivated and enchanted. Pujya Bhaishri specifically told the city people to watch where they were headed and to slow down the pace of their lives to enjoy life in totality rather than running after materialistic success which can never give us the peace we are looking for.
