One needs to have the desire to serve said Pujya Bhaishri at the foundation stone laying function of a hostel at Udaipur, India
Bhaishri Rameshbhai Oza said that he who has a desire to serve others; only he can serve. If one is prepared to serve, he can do so even by contributing money, children or time. In order to serve it is necessary that one has a heart and a desire to do so.
Bhaishri was addressing the gathering at the Foundation-stone laying function for the college student’s hostel of Vanavasi Kalyan Parishad at Hiranmagari, Sector-3 after performing the pujan on Sunday morning, 11th June, 2006. He said that the spirit of ‘Arpan’, ‘Tarpan’ and ‘Samarpan’ was the basis of Indian Culture. Renouncing something for the cause of society is called ‘Arpan’. Renouncing something for the Pitaras (Forefathers) is called ‘Tarpan’ and renouncing something for the cause of Devas (Gods) is called ‘Samarpan’.
Commenting upon the competitive announcements of donations at the function he remarked that if the goal is good then there will never be any dearth of support for it. The donors announced donations of Rs. 87 lacs at the function. Bhaishri also announced a donation of Rs. 11 thousand on behalf of Shrimad Bhagavatji.
The President of Akhil Bharatiya Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram Jagadevrao Uraon, Roopsingh Bhil of Vanavasi Kalyan Parishad, General Secretary of the Region Bhagwan Sahay delivered the welcome speech. While presiding over the function the Director of the Madhav Nagrik Bank, Sirohi announced a donation of Rs. 21 lacs for the hostel. MP Kiran Modi announced a donation of Rs. 10 lacs from his MP’s fund. Home Minister Gulabchand Kataria announced donations of Rs. 40 lacs on behalf of the eight MLAs of Udaipur district.
While talking to Dainik Bhaskar, Rameshbhai said that the reason for the young people not getting interested in the kathas is that their ideals have not been established in this field. Efforts are being made in the directions to get the youngsters interested in this field. He also remarked that the sadhus or saints, whether they are in saffron robes or in white clothes, they should struggle aggressively like the soldiers.
