Pride of Sandipani wins All India Shashtriya (ancient sciences) Elocution Competition
Hiteshkumar Pathak, a student of Sandipani Vidyaniketan has enhanced the prestige of his institution and Gujarat by standing first in the All India Shashtriya (ancient sciences) Elocution Competition held recently at the Swaminarayan Gurukul at village Chharodi near Ahmedabad. He spoke on Jyotish (Astrology).
The contest that attracted entries in different subjects was organised by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sanshan, New Delhi in collaboration of Sanskrit Academy of Gujarat. Over 150 students of Sanskrit institutions of different states had participated in the competition.
The Governor of Gujarat, Shri Sundarsinh Bhandari distributed the prizes. The education minister, Shrimati Anandiben Patel and noted Sanskrit educationist, Shri K. K. Shashtri was present.
The judges were: Dr. Parasnath Dwivedi of Sampoornanand Sanskrit Vishwa Vidyalaya, Varanasi, Shri Rameshchandra Pande of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaikwad University, Vadodara and Dr. Ramakant Shukla, New
Delhi. Shri V. Kutumbashashtri was the convener.
