A Ram katha by Pujya Bhaishri was organized from the 22nd to 30th May, 2004 under the patronage of the Manas Satsang Samiti at Jalghora near Dhanbad in Jharkhand. Inaugurating the Ram katha, Pujya Bhaishri said that just as Lord Ram went to meet the Bhills, Guha and Kevat, Ram katha has come to the land of mines and miners. In order to enable the maximum number of people to benefit from the Ram katha it was scheduled between 7 and 10 p.m. Shri Ram Janmotsav was celebrated with fun and fervor during the katha.
Pujya Bhaishri also visited the mines and observed the process of mining and the working conditions of the miners. He also held a small satsang with the miners. Narrating the episode of Prithu, Pujya Bhaishri explained the difference between the Dohan (Milking or beneficial utilization) and Shoshan (Exploitation) of earth by men. He commented that it was the first time ever that he had held a satsang 3500 feet below the surface of the earth.
He also visited the local Satynarayan temple and chatted with the students of its Sanskrit school. During the Ram katha Pujya Bhaishri said that while policies can lay down an order and arrangement, only Love can bring people nearer to each other. He also said that God need not be set as our Goal, because God is present even where we are at the present moment. In fact nothing exists except God but brotherhood, harmony and love is imperative.
