A Very Happy Janmashtami to you. To celebrate the birth of Shri Krishna, we present Pujya Bhaishri’s Sandesh and the hymns chum chum baaje and swagatam krishna.
In life, happiness exists where there is peace. Shrimad Bhagavat says, “ashaantasya kutaha sukham?” Meaning, how can one have happiness in life which is not peaceful?
Where can we attain peace from? Peace cannot be attained without taking refuge in God.
Peace cannot be attained until we do not develop love for God. Where there is devotion, there is peace and happiness.
The regard and affection for the body that does not let one pray, take refuge in God and attain peace is described as Kans. The affection for the body in the form of Kans is the enemy of Shri Krishna.
Kans rules in our bodies as a king. Until Kans rules our body as a king, he will refrain us from happiness and peace. Do you want this Kans to die? Do you want to gain true happiness and peace? If yes, then think, how will Kans die? The answer is by the manifestation of Shri Krishna.
Where will Shri Krishna appear from Mathura?
Shri Krishna is present in the same Mathura that Kans rules as a king. We have to make him appear and see him. God is present in the soul of every person, however sinful the person may be; the condition is to awaken God in the person. Do not lose courage.
Even though the king of this body in the form of Mathura is Kans, if we genuinely want the affection for the body in the form of Kans to die and therefore attain peace and happiness, then it is important to awaken Shri Krishna. In order to do this, there is no need to lose courage. Remember Shri Vasudev and Devaki live in Mathura. God, who resides in everyone’s hearts, will appear via Vasudev and Devaki.
Who are Vasudev and Devaki?
Vasudev is a pure heart and Devaki is a mind with divine thoughts. The mind will be filled with Godly thoughts and ideals through chanting God’s name and satsang. Also, the heart will become pure by performing good deeds, and providing our service (seva) to others through hard work. By performing these two deeds, Shri Krishna will be born in our lives.
Shri Krishna Janma ki badhaai ho!
