On day 5, 11 July 2019, of Sadhana Retreat the students started the Vedic workshop with a test on the Durga mantra they had learnt in the past few days. Thereafter, they learnt the Vishnu mantra, idam Vishnur.
In the Sanatan Study class, the students were introduced to prasthānatrayi which are the three authoritative primary sources consisting of Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita and the Bhrama Sutra. The class was primarily based around the Upanishads where they learnt the stories of Naciketa, Satyakama and Shvetaketu. This was followed by a discussion on the Bhrama Sutras. The section on Bhagavad Gita will be covered tomorrow.
Later in the afternoon, Shri Shyambhai discussing the Shiv and Parvati charitra, the importance of chanting mantra properly and how Brahma, Vishnu and Shiv are one in essence.
The delegates attended Shri Hari Mandir aarati and joined the Sandipani Rishikumars for sandhya (evening prayers).
