Sandipani Reaches out to labourers, family and the needy with food kits

In the current Coronavirus pandemic, India is on a lockdown for 21 days. This has created great challenges for labourers who earn their living daily. In order to ensure the families of labourers can feed, Sandipani Vidyaniketan has been distributing food kits since the 28th March 2020 in various areas. This is being carried out under the guidance of Pujya Bhaishri.

From 27th March 2020 to 28th March 2020, the families of labourers were provided accommodation around the Sandipani campus, provided food kits and travel arrangements to return to their villages. Nearly 100 labourers were sent home with food packets and water.

 

On 1 April and 2 April 2020, Sandipani Rishikumars went to the slum areas of Porbandar and distributed food kits to the families of labourers.

On 5th April 2020, further food distribution was carried out at Madhavpur.

Thereafter, on 7th April 2020, 100 food kits were distributed by the Rishikumars within the tribal villages in the forest areas of Ranavav.

The food kits contained wheat flour, rice, grains, spices, potatoes, onions weighing 25 kgs sufficient to last at least 10 days for the families of less able in all these areas.

     

Moreover, Pujya Bhaishri and the Rishikumars in their homes, performed an anushthan of the recitation of a thousand Chandi path in the first nine days of Chaitra Navratri, for the global health of the entire mankind. During this time, Pujya Bhaishri encouraged all to either recite Shri Ram Charit Manas or join other Rishikumars in the recitation of 100,000 Shri Hanuman Chalisa.
