The surroundings of Shri Hari Mandir are mesmerising, relaxing and inspiring with greenery, flowers of varied kinds, water fountains and fruit trees such as Sapota (known as chikku in Gujarati).  Also present is the representation of Mount Kailash with Lord Shiv residing on top of it leading to a stream of water.

Every year, the deities at Shri Hari Mandir are taken on a nauka vihar in this stream of water during events like Navratri.

There is also a beautiful replica of Mount Goverdhan in the Shri Hari Mandir gardens which is worshipped.

Mahatma Gandhiji and Shri Kasturba in the Shri Hari Mandir gardens

Residing in the Mandir gardens are statues of Shri Mahatma Gandhiji along with Shri Kasturba and Shri Sudamaji along with Shri Sushilaji. These were unveiled on 2 October 2008 by the then Honourable Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Narendrabhai Modi, Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji (Pujya Muniji), Pujya Shri Rajendradasji and Pujya Bhaishri.

Mahatma Gandhiji and Shri Sudamaji are the sons of Porbandar. Pujya Bhaishri says that the inspiration to have them reside at Shri Hari Mandir is that Porbandar is the birthplace and land of duty/actions (karmabhumi) of Mahatma Gandhiji as well as the birth place and land of spiritual practice of Sudamaji. They are our inspiration on how to perform our duty and actions in life.
