Annual Celebrations at Sandipani Vidyaniketan

The 24th Annual Day of Shri Babadeshwar Sanskrit Mahavidyalay was celebrated on 16th January at Sandipani Vidyaniketan. A yagya was performed in the Sandipani yagyashala praying for the longevity of Pujya Bhaishri and the fulfilment of all his wishes. The entire ambience sanctified by the divine chants of Vedic mantras appeared to bestow blessings for the glory of Sandipani and Pujya Bhaishri. In addition, a rudrabhishek was performed on Shri Chandramauleshwar Mahadev residing in Shri Hari Mandir. Pujya Bhaishri, who was narrating his katha elsewhere at the time, sent his ashish to the acharyas and the rishikumars.

The rishikumars participated in many competitions including sutra antakshari, sloka antakshari in Sanskrit, Shalaka, cricket, volleyball and kho kho organised on the day. In the pratham section of sutra antakshari, the first winner was Rishikesh Rawal, the second Parashar Bhatt and the third Anmol Sharma. In the madhyam section, the winner was Ravi Rambhia, followed by the second and third runners-up Ketan Ravaiyya and Yaogesh Shukla.

In the pratham section of sloka antakshari, the first winner was Yagnik Pandya, the second Harshit Shukla and the third Rahul Borisagar. The first, second and third winning positions in the madhyam section were awarded to Druv Dave, Ravi Arambhadia and Hardik Purohit. The shastri section was won by Manish Mehta, while the second and third positions were won by Tejas Trivedi and Sagar Dave.

In the pratham section of shalaka competition, the first winner was Harshit Shukla, he second Parashar Bhatt and the consolation prize was awarded to Rishikesh Rawal. Devang Bhatt and other rishikumars won the madhyam and shastrisections.

The cricket match was won by the madhyam dwiteeya (12th) team captained by Jayanti Mehta. The runner up team, of Shastri pratham (FYBA), was captained by Girdhar Bagda. The second runner-up teams were of Shastri dwiteeya (SYBA) and Madhyama dwiteeya (12th) which were led by Abhishek Pandya and Ravi Arambhadia respectively.

The kho kho competition was won by the madhyam pratham (11th) team captained by Viral Joshi.
