Sanskruti Parivaar Of Ahmedabad Organises A Devotional Geeta Gyan Yagya
Sanskruti Parivaar of Ahmedabad, with Pujya Bhaishri’s inspiration and blessings, organised a Shrimad Bhagavad Geeta Gyan Yagya in Ahmedabad by Pujya Bhaishri from 20th July to 24th July 2011.
Param Pujya Ganeshdasji Maharaj of santram Mandir, Umreth, and Pujya Param Pujya Dilipdasji Maharaj of Jagannath Mandir, Ahmedabad, inaugurated the ceremony with deepa pragatya and auspicious speeches in the huge, extravagant Golden Galore Hall of the Karnavati Club in Ahmedabad. Thereafter, Shri Gautambhai Oza provided a welcome speech and an introduction to the five day Geeta Gyan Yagya.
Pujya Bhaishri then began his sermon after the mangalaacharan. He said, “Sanskruti Parivaar is spread throughout the world and this Geeta Gyan Yagya organised by the Sanskruti Parivaar of Ahmedabad is an event of joy. Shrimad Bhagavad Geeta is a fire of knowledge in which our evil deeds are destroyed. The fourth chapter of the Bhagavad Geeta is complete with gyan (knowledge), karma (deeds) and sanyaas (renunciation).”
Pujya Bhaishri enlightened the devotees by saying that God first narrated the Shrimad Bhagavad Geeta to Surya Devta, who then passed it on to his son Vaivasvat Manu and Shri Vaivasvat Manu thereafter told this divine Yoga to his son Raja Ikshavaku. Pujya Bhaishri added that a person who practices religion (i.e. a saadhak) can unite with God (the saadhya) if that person also becomes the medium to attaining God (saadhan); consequently, the saadhak, saadhya and saadhan, being united, are eternal. However we see a delay in getting to this stage due to worldly attachments (moha).
The chief host of this katha was the family of Niranjanbhai Thakkar. The daily hosts included: Shri Babubhai Desai, Shri Pareshbhai Patel, Shri Madhulikaben, Shri Prahladbhai Parekh and Shri Pavanji Agrawal. In addition, great help and support was provided for this katha by: Shri Pravinbhai Kotak, Shri Ishwarbhai Varde, Shri Sureshbhai Sanghvi, Shri Atulbhai Pandya and the whole Sanskruti Parivaar of Ahmedabad.
All in all, the journey to this Geeta Gyan Yagya became a journey of love.
