Sant Milan Samaroh 2006, Mumbai, India
This year the Sant Milan Samaroh was special. It earmarked Pujya Bhaishri’s entry into his 50th year and also Pujya Bhaishri was awarded the ‘Hindu Reniassance Award – Hindu of the year 2006’ by the spiritual magazine, Hinduism Today based in Hawaii, USA. The function was held on 31st August on Pujya Bhaishri’s birthday at the Birla Matushri Hall in Mumbai.
Numerous saints graced this special occasion; Karshni Guru Sharnanandji Maharaj of Ramanreti, Vrindavan, Pujya Govindanandji Maharaj and Pujya Swami Bhaskaranandji of Gangeshvar Dham, Mumbai, Pujya Swami Devprakashji Maharaj of Shanti Prakash Ashram, Ulhasnagar, Pujya Baba Maharaj Satarkar, Kirtan Samrat of Maharashtra, Pujya Jagdishji Maharaj of Shri Hanumanji Mandir, Nanded and Pujya Shri Devkarji Maharaj of the Sant Tukaram lineage.
The program began with the enchanting and reverberating kirtan by Pujya Baba Maharaj Satarkar and his group. All the present saints and Pujya Bhaishri then lit the auspicious lamp and all the saints were welcomed by the devotees. Shri Tusharbhai Jani gave a brief summary of the activities ongoing at Sandipani and the very successful Sandipani Mandir Mahotsav held early this year. A small book Jigyasa Vol. 3 in English was released on this special occasion and is dedicated to Pujya Bhaishri’s sterling work and his entry into the 50th year.
Recognising Pujya Bhaishri’s contribution to the filed of adhyatma, Hinduism Today magazine based in Hawaii, USA awarded Pujya Bhaishri the ‘Hindu Reniassance Award – Hindu of the year 2006’. A detailed report is also online.
All present saints expressed their joy on being present on this occasion and showered their blessings and best wishes on Pujya Bhaishri. Pujya Bhaishri too acknowledged their blessings and was moved by their love and reverence for him.
All devotees present offered their best wishes and gifts to Pujya Bhaishri after which a film was shown on Sandipani Mandir Mahotsav and the ongoing activities. The program concluded at 11 pm and lasted for 6 hours. It was truly special.
