“Shri Krishna will steal our minds” says Pujya Bhaishri in the Shrimad Bhagavat Katha at Naranpar, Kutch
A divine Shrimad Bhagavat Katha by Pujya Bhaishri was held in Naranpar, a small town in Kutch, Gujarat, from 14th December to 21st December 2012. The chief sponsors of this katha were Shri Meghjibhai Patel and Shri Harjibhai Patel of Patel Tours and Travels.
On the first day, the Shobha Yatra commenced from Shri Raghunath Mandir amidst Hari naam sankirtan. The Shobha Yatra in Naranpar exhibited the culture and tradition of this town. The Shobha Yatra was warmly welcomed at the katha venue by the people and primary school children of Naranpar.
The Acharya of Swaminarayan sect, Param Pujya Shri Koshalendraji Maharaj kindled the auspicious light. This was followed by pooja of the Pothiji and then the narration of the katha by Pujya Bhaishri.
Pujya Bhaishri said that katha is that which fixes our minds on the beloved Lord Shri Krishna. ‘Kam rase sthitim karoti yaa saa katha‘. Shrimad Bhagavat detaches us from our worldly desires and inspires us to love and take refuge at Shri Krishna’s divine lotus feet.
Pujya Bhaishri continued to say that Lord Shri Krishna has a habit to steal. However hard you try to run away from him, he is bound to steal your mind some time or another. In fact, you will not even realise when that leader of thieves will steal your mind while you are listening to his katha!
Shri Krishna janmotsav was celebrated with great fanfare on the fifth day of the katha.
During the course of the katha, Pujya Bhaishri visited the following places in Bhuj, managed by Leuva Patel: Sanskar Dham, Ashapura Shaikshanik Complex, Shri Swaminarayan Temple and a hospital. Pujya Bhaishri also went for darshan at Kala Dungar built by the industrialist of Kutch and a committed follower of Sandipani: Shri Arjanbhai Kangad, Naranbhai Bakutra and Bhachabhai Aahir. He also visited the army at the border where he talked to the soldiers protecting our country and showered his blessings upon them.
The entire katha was telecasted live on Sanskar channel. Over a hundred thousand devotees were engrossed in the affection and leela of Lord Shri Krishna in this divine Shrimad Bhagavat Katha, including many industrialists, politicians and saints.
