Shrimad Bhagavat katha at the foot of Girnar Hills in Junagadh

With the blessings of Guru Dattatreya, a blissful Shrimad Bhagavat Katha was organised by the Takshasheela Education and Charitable Trust at the foot of Garva Girnar Hills in Junagadh from 1st January to 8th January 2012. This katha was arranged to encourage and inspire the less fortunate girls of the society to study and create a brighter future for them.
On the first day, the Shobha Yatra began from the temple of Siddhnath Mahadev, traversed the streets of Junagadh with chants of Hari naam by over a thousand devotees and reached the katha venue Datta Dham at 5pm. At Datta Dham, the organisers of the katha: Hemaben and Ashokbhai and the family of the sponsors of the katha worshipped the Pothiji. Thereafter, the chief saints of the Shrimad Bhagavat Gyan Yagya Samiti, Pujya Muktanand Bapu, Pujya Shernath Bapu and other saints kindled the auspicious light and gave short speeches.
During the katha Pujya Bhaishri said that Bhagavan Datta decided to be born as the son of Shri Atri Muniji and Maa Ansuyaji due to their tremendous sacrifice and aversion to worldly pleasures. In addition, the chastity and fidelity of Maa Ansuyaji to her husband caused Tridev Bhagavan (Bhramaji, Vishnu Bhagavan and Shivji) to manifest as their three small children named as Dutta, Durvasa and Chandrama. Shri Dutta Bhagavan later arrived at this holy place of Junagadh and spread Shri Hari’s teachings.
Pujya Bhaishri also elaborated on the importance of daan (distribution of wealth) during the katha.
Amidst his stay in Junagadh, Pujya Bhaishri went for darshan of Shri Bhavnathji and joined the sant milan (saints meeting) at Shri Sharadbhai Adatiya’s abode.

This Shrimad Bhagavat katha was a huge memorable success at Junagadh.
