“Shrimad Bhagavat Katha is the melody from Shri Krishna’s flute”, says Pujya Bhaishri at Agiyali Katha
A divine Shrimad Bhagavat Katha was organised at Ganesh Ashram in Agiyali from 4th April to 11th April 2014. Agiyali is a very small village near Bhavnagar town in Gujarat. Though quite small in size, it boasts of being the place where an intensely devotional and industrious ascetic, Param Pujya Brahmaleen Brahmachari Bapu resided. His followers organised this Katha in his memory at Ganesh Ashram.
The Shobha Yatra commenced on the first day from the Shiv temple and reached the Katha venue chanting the name of Shri Hari. Shri Bhagavatji was worshipped in the Ganesh temple and Pujya Bhaishri performed abhishek on Lord Kashi Vishwanath ji.
Thereafter, the trustee of Bagadana, Param Pujya Manji Bapa and Chief of Karamadiya, Pujya Kamaleshwar Bapu, kindled the auspicious lamp. Pujya Manji Bapu delivered his benedictory address in which he talked about the important milestones of Brahmaleen Param Pujya Brahmachari Bapu’s life.
Pujya Bhaishri remarked at the beginning of the Katha that it was a matter of great joy that this Katha was beginning on the 5th day of the Hindu calendar month Chaitra Navratri, in the proximity of Lord Ganesh who is the beloved son of Goddess Parvati and in an atmosphere surcharged by the divine spiritual vibrations of an ascetic, Brahmaleen Param Pujya Brahmachari Maharaj, who brought great pride & honour by virtue of his intense ascetic practices.
During the Katha, Pujya Bhaishri said, “The raas (dance) of Gopis is the trance and ultimate union with God of the Yogis (ascetics). Bhagavat is the flute of Lord Krishna; Katha narrated for seven days is the melody from this flute, through which the sleeping Gopi within us is awakened”.
“The culture from our Rishis and agriculture are immensely intertwined in India. We reap what we sow. Therefore, we must think and decide what we must plant. A land where love and hard work reside, certainly becomes Gokul. Here, in Ganesh Ashram, Param Pujya Brahmachari Bapu performed his meditation. He conquered lust through his hard work and effort”.
Shri Krishna janmotsav was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm during this Katha. The Katha was relayed live on Sanskar channel. Many saints and dignitaries attended this divine Katha.
